A fine weather fog this morning that is already lifting off the half foot swell, helped by a light force 1 offshore easterly breeze.

For garden lovers, some cliff top blossoming blow.






Gaslight Inn's cliff top rock garden with Japanese influences, perhaps. A meditative spot in calm weather.



Long ago, the received wisdom in Rossnowlagh was that you can't grow flowers on the cliff. However the orange Montbretia (see below) that escaped from Mrs McCall's little garden patch at the Strand View (aka Smugglers) self seeded along the cliff face and proved that flowering plants are hardier than they look.
