Zero wind - is this a record of some sort? 9.00am Sunday 12 February 2012

The sea is fairly flat with a lively little 1 foot swell rising close to the beach. The air is calm, so calm that the weather chart says zero south southwesterly which would be cross shore if there was a breeze that amounted to more than zero. It's the first time I've seen a zero wind prediction for Rossnowlagh.
A great day for beginners/novices.

Tides
Low 02.23 0.6m
High 08.37 4.1m
Low 14.48 0.6m
High 21.04 3.9m

(Tide info sponsored by Finnegan's Shop Rossnowlagh)

Below, yesterday evening's sunset sky - some of it too bright for my camera. Also, sunset on front room wall - one of the first signs of spring because in winter the sunset is too far to the southwest to shine there.

Now for this morning's 8.00am walkabout, including first daffodils at the coach house and white sea urchin shells (sea potatoes) washed in on the beach.
